The University of Oviedo has opened a call for subsidies aimed at professors of the Asturian academic institution staying at universities listed among the top 200 universities in the international rankings, and subsidies for professors coming from foreign universities to teach at the University of Oviedo for periods between one and three months. These programmes are very successful. In 2010, almost 500 professors, double than in 2008, stayed at foreign universities.
