Master's Degree in Mathematical Modelling, Statistics and Computing

Entry requirements:

In order to register in an official Master's Degree, it is mandatory to have completed an official degree in Spain or in any higher education institution of a member state of the European Union integrated in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that allows students to take a Master's Degree. Students who have obtained their degree outside the EHEA can be admitted as long as the University can verify that these qualifications have a similar level to the corresponding degrees in Spain and they permit graduates to take a Master's Course.

This Master is primarily intended for Graduates in Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economy or Engineering who wish to acquire the neccessary skills in order to start research activities or to gain a deeper knowledge in Applied Mathematics and Statistics in order to work in a company or a technology centre. Students must officially prove that they are competent in English.

This Master's Programme consists of 17 subjects that are taught intensively at the appropriate university. There are 3 academic periods or terms planned according to an academic schedule. The first period takes place in November and December at the University of the Basque Country (Bilbao); the second period takes place in February and March at the University of Zaragoza; and the last and shortest period can be completed in any of the remaining universities (the University of Oviedo, the Public University of Navarra or the University of La Rioja)

Students who meet the requirements set by the Ministry of Education and Science can apply for a mobility grant, since each term all students must travel to the appropriate university according to the aforementioned plan.
