Development of the project

On November 25th 2009 the University of Oviedo was awarded with the Campus of International Excellence with the project Ad Futurum. From the 17th to the 21st century. Looking back, looking ahead. Since then, the Asturian academic institution has been promoting the development of the main action lines of the project in the fields of teaching, research, collaboration with the business sector and Institutional Social Responsibility.     The Vice-Chancellor for Internationalization and Graduate Programmes of the University of Oviedo, through the House of Languages, has organized the Welcome Week for all Erasmus students who will undertake studies in Asturias this year. This initiative aims to facilitate integration of international students at the University, and bring them closer to the way of life in Asturias. The University of Oviedo will host this year around 500 Erasmus students from different European countries; German, Italian, French or English are the most numerous nationalities although the number of students coming from Poland or Turkey is increasing.
