Language courses and activities for foreign university students
International students will find specific assistance for their needs at the University of Oviedo. The Office of International Student Services provides guidance and assistance for foreign students. Management of many academic and extracurricular services for students, professors and foreign visitors.
Language courses. Spanish courses for foreign students
There are two initiatives planned to promote interaction between Spanish and foreign students, which help to know other people´s Languages and culture: the a•dUO and the Tandem programmes. The University of Oviedo also offers the possibility to learn Spanish with the Spanish Language and Culture courses, as well as intensive courses for Exchange students and courses to prepare students for the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE).
The entity in charge of this activity is the House of Languages, which also teaches German, Arabic, Chinese, French, English, Italian, Japanese, Spanish sign language, Portuguese and Russian.
Grants for International students
International students can get funding for their Studies through the calls of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation MAEC-AECID
Likewise, students from Latin America may join the Grant Programme of the Carolina Foundation.
