The Campus of International Excellence is working to promote the International visibility of the University of Oviedo. In order to so, an ambitious campaign has been designed, which includes attendance to international fairs and institutional visits to different countries.
Actions carried out in 2010
The University of Oviedo promoted its academic offer in the Study World Fair, held in Berlin in April, 2010. In May, a group of representatives of the Asturian academic institution took part in the Offshore Technology Conference, as a member of Asturex, which was held in Reliant Park, Houston (Texas). The University presented the project of the Offshore experimental station, included in the Cluster of Energy, Environment and Climate Change of the Campus of International Excellence, to several companies, universities and technological centres. 2.400 companies and 35 countries took part in this fair.

In June, The University of Oviedo took part in the II International Meeting of Universia Rectors, held in Guadalajara (Mexico) and arranged several collaboration agreements with the Technology Institute of Monterrey, the College of Mexico and the UNAM.
In China, the University took part in the Day of Asturias in the Expo 2010 Shangai, and arranged collaboration agreements with 10 universities aimed at exchanging students and teaching staff, as well as collaboration concerning research projects. In the summer 2010, several Chinese students already enrolled in our University to take Spanish courses.
The last international promotion campaign in 2010 was in USA in November, visiting ten research and education centres in Austin, Dallas (Texas), Tucson (Arizona), UTAH, Chicago, Massachusetts, and New York.

Accions carried out in 2011
The University of Oviedo has been trying to open new frontiers for its students and to attract foreign students. In March, 2011, a delegation from the Silesian University (Poland) visited the Asturian academic institution in order to develop collaboration projects related to students and professors mobility, and joint research programmes.
The Asturian academic institution took part in the EuroPosgrados Fair in Chile and Argentina, in April, with a great success, having its own stand to promote the Campus of International Excellence and the new offer of Master's Degrees of the International Graduate Centre.
In May, 2011, the University of Oviedo paid a new institutional visit to China in order to strengthen the agreements signed the year before, an open new ways of collaboration, in five universities of the province of Shandong.
