The University of Oviedo together with SERIDA organize this course on Bioeconomics with the aim of publicizing this concept, highlighting the importance it has in our region, and the possibilities of financing for research and innovation projects in this sector.


Bioeconomy is a term that encompasses the set of activities that obtain products and services, generating economic activity with the use of resources of biological origin as raw material.


It is a concept that arises in response to a set of global challenges that pose the need for a change in trends, and where the development of the bioeconomy is presented as an opportunity and a necessity, for the whole of economic activity.


This course is intended for researchers, technicians and managers of public administrations and universities, as well as professionals from companies, organizations and associations representing the economic, social and environmental sectors, centers and technological platforms.

Registration is free until full capacity is reached (Registration closed).


All those participants who want to disseminate the projects / activities they are developing in the field of bioeconomy, will be able to present them during the days of the course in the format of a poster. Attendees who want to present a poster must send a file in pdf format with its content to the organizing committee of the course (clusterbms@uniovi.es).


The poster must include at least the title of the communication, surname and name of the author / s and reference to the university / institution. The organization will make materials available to attendees to be attached to the panels. Posters must be submitted in standard A0 format (118.9 x 84.1 cm).
